Description
Black and white portrait of Jesus, with one hand raised and nail wounds visible in both hands. Lily branches flank the portrait. Below Jesus is a passage from Saint John's Gospel in which Jesus gives his disciples the New Commandment following the Last Supper. The back of the card has an inscription commemorating the ordination and first solemn mass of Father Charles Rada in Cleveland, Ohio in April 1938. The inscription includes a quotation from Father Peter Julian Eymard about ordination, and a quotation of unknown origin. Created by Abbaye de Maredret.

A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another as I have loved you. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another. St John XIII-34, 35.
