Description
Uncolored engraving of three angels flying over a cemetery. The moon is partially obscured by clouds behind them. Eight tombstones are visible in the graveyard. Behind the cemetery is a tree, possibly a willow, a large body of water and mountains. The original artwork was painted by an A. Müller, possibly the Swiss painter Alfredo Müller. It was engraved by A. Pickel. The back of the card has an inscription memorializing Father Isaac Hocter, a priest at St. Brigid's Church in Xenia, Ohio, who died on December 18, 1900. The card was printed by Benziger in Switzerland, and sold by their American branch in Cincinnati, Ohio.
