In Your Charity Pray for the Repose of the Soul of Rt. Rev. Monsignor John B. Murray, V.G. Prothonotary Apostolic. Born March 15, 1841 Ordained Priest October 24, 1863 Died September 30, 1920. 'Have pity on me; Have pity on me; at least you my friends, for the hand of the Lord hath touched me.'--Job xx.21 R.I.P. (front) Let us pray: O God, Who hast raised up Thy servant, JOHN, to the dignity of Thy Apostolic priests, grant, we beseech Thee, that he may also be admitted in heaven to their everlasting fellowship. O gentlest Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in purgatory, have mercy on the soul of Thy servant JOHN; bring him from the shadows of exile to the bright home of heaven, where, we trust, Thou and Thy Blessed Mother have woven for him a crown of unfading glory. Amen. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. (back)
