Description
Black and white image of a cross accompanied by the words 'Pax in Deo,' or 'Peace in God.' The image is framed on two sides by a branch of thorns with flowers, and below is a prayer. The back of the card has an inscription memorializing the death of Father Richard Kennedy, a priest who died in Graceville, Minnesota in January, 1933. The inscription is accompanied by a photograph of Father Kennedy, a verse from the Book of Revelation, and a prayer for the repose of his soul. This card was printed in Germany by the Diederich-Schaefer Company and sold by their American branch, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pax in Deo. Let us be comforted by the sight of Heaven the home where those whom we mourn reside, who there protect us and pray for us. Kennedy Born December 17, 1871 Ordained June 15, 1902 St. Paul's Seminary, St. Paul, Minn. Died January 6, 1933, Graceville, Minn. Buried January 11, 1933, Westport, Wis. Prayer. O God, who among apostolic priests hast adorned Thy servant, Richard, with the sacerdotal dignity, grant, we beseech Thee, that he may be associated with them in everlasting fellowship.
