Early photo of a Ford Tri-Motor 5-AT-A at Rentschler Field, East Hartford, Connecticut, about 1928; the Ford was the first large plane flown by Bernard L. "Benny" Whelan, then employed at United Aircraft, East Hartford, Connecticut. It featured air-cooled Wasp engines, which Pratt & Whitney manufactured.
