Description
Statistics show that Latinos have contributed 70% of growth in the Catholic Church since 1960, yet only 3% of Catholic school students are Latino! There are so many benefits for Catholic schools that reach out to Latino students: maintaining a strong Catholic constituency, partnering with families who have solid family values and who are passionate about their children’s education, seeing the deep respect for teachers, reaching an untapped market of people who dream of a Catholic education for their children, to name but a few. Many schools want to reach out to Latino families, but are unsure of the practical ways to put this into play. Come learn more about strategies to effectively recruit and retain Latino families at your school, and specifically how to engage our students’ parents, who can become your best ambassadors.
