Paul Laurence Dunbar, Compensation
(b.1947) His vocal study was with Dorothy Fries at Immaculate Heart College where he received a BA in 1968. He earned his Masters Degree in 1991 and Ph.D. in 1993 in composition from the University of California, Los Angeles. Since then he has privately studied theory and composition with many other people. He has appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony, the American Symphony at Carnegie Hall, and the Cincinnati May Festival, among many others. Lastly, he has also appeared in many title roles in operas such as Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, Parsifal, among others.
