Biographical Information
(b. 1932) Born in Cleveland, H. Leslie Adams received his bachelor's degree in music education from Oberlin College; a master's in music from California State University, Long Beach, and doctorate in music from Ohio State University. He is a pianist-composer, organist, conductor, writer and educator. He was a composer-in-residence at Karamu House in Cleveland (1979-80) and Cleveland Music School Settlement (1981-82). He is a composer-in-residence of Creative Arts Inc., a nonprofit arts organization in Cleveland that promotes the work of minority artists.
