About This Journal
Undergraduate Mathematics Day at the University of Dayton (UMD) is held in November of odd-numbered years. It celebrates undergraduate mathematics in all its forms: research, history, teaching, and learning. This electronic proceedings gives the student experience in formally writing a research or expository article. The articles are refereed for correctness and style.
The conference coincides with the annual Schraut Memorial Lecture, named Kenneth “Doc” Schraut, a mathematics faculty member from 1940 to 1978 and department chair from 1954 to 1970.
