We invite you to submit an article, based on your presentation at Undergraduate Mathematics Day, to the Electronic Proceedings of Undergraduate Mathematics Day. By submitting an article to this proceedings, you agree not to submit the paper to any other outlet for publication.
All submissions can be emailed to Dr. Jonathan Brown. For your the subject line, use Electronic Proceedings, UMD.
The first round of the review process will be complete by March 1. We anticipate working with students on style, historical context, and bibliographies, as well as mathematics content. In particular, we anticipate that time will be allotted for revisions to manuscripts; we intend to publish the proceedings by May 1 in even numbered years.
What you need to submit:
- A letter in which you state your intentions to submit an article for publication. Clearly state the title, all co-authors, and who serves as the corresponding author and give that author’s email address. If you have worked with a faculty member, please also give that faculty member’s name, affiliation, and email address.
- A pdf file of your manuscript.
- An editable version of your manuscript. We prefer LaTeX, but we also accept Word or Google Docs files and will try to work with other formats. Please attach any figures or images that are stored as separate files.
