Abstract
This is a panel discussion broken into three, 30-minute parts.
The first section discusses ordinances passed in Dayton and the surrounding areas recently, like Dayton’s Pay to Stay and Yellow Springs’s Source of Income protection.
The second discusses ordinances that would give tenants greater rights, like Right to Counsel, mandatory mediation, and how to get involved in getting ordinances passed in local communities.
The third section is a practical discussion regarding what to do if you find yourself being evicted, including defenses you can present and information about community partners who may be able to help.
