Description
Prior to recording tree inventory, all plot boundaries and quadrats had to be reestablished from the original samplings. Some of the gear needed to align these were meter tapes, DBH tapes, flagging tape, chaining pins, and flags. To document height of all mid-story and overstory trees, a piece of equipment called a clinometer (not pictured) was used by measuring the distance from a 2-meter reference point to the top of the tallest branch on each tree.
