Abstract
The University of Dayton will honor three well-known community leaders and award more than 1,350 degrees to graduating students at the spring commencement ceremony May 3. Bachelor's degrees will be awarded to 1,058 students, 285 will receive master's degrees, and nine will receive doctorates. Of the doctoral degrees, one will be awarded in biology, three in educational leadership and five in engineering. Honorary degrees will be presented to Mike Peters, John E. Moore Sr. and Betty L. Schmoll: a man who makes readers think as he makes them laugh; a man who leads others to make their community better; and a woman who helps patients and their families face the toughest challenge of all.
