The RiverMobile, a mobile museum experience on a 53-foot tractor-trailer, traveled to schools and communities throughout the Great Miami River Watershed from 2013 to 2021. Four uniquely fabricated "classrooms" delivered experiential education enabling the exploration of the region's watershed, history, aquifer and rivers promoting global responsibility, all in one place.
In 2019, the RiverMobile went "greener" with a solar design, promoting renewable energy and sustainability.
In 2022, the Rivers Institute and the Dayton Society of Natural History began working together on the RiverMobile's conversion to an interactive exhibit at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.
This collection contains media and materials from the original RiverMobile over its eight years on the road as well as updated materials used by the River Stewards for river education.
