Abstract

Legislative Authority
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the academic success of students transitioning from high school to university, the Executive Committee of the Academic Senate (ECAS) approved an emergency change to the Midterm Progress Report Policy for the 2021-2022 academic year.

On March 25, 2022, the Academic Senate voted to extend the policy into the 2022-2023 academic year.

On February 24, 2023, the Academic Senate voted to expand midterm grading for all undergraduate students to begin in the Fall of 2024.

This policy extends the current emergency expansion of midterm progress reports for second-year students one additional year before the revised midterm progress report policy goes into effect.
