Description
Plastic doll is wearing a habit worn by the Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament. This order originated from the French order of Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of the Most Holy Sacrament, founded in 1851. A group of sisters came to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana in 1872, and became independent from the French order in 1892. The doll is wearing a black dress, black scapular, black veil, and white paper wimple and collar. A small brass pin in the shape of a chalice is pinned to the front of the dress. A black yarn belt is tied around the doll's waist, from which hangs a black rosary.
