While making this collage, I wanted to showcase the aspect of a “Wanted” poster like in the Old West. So I turned the coronavirus (COVID-19) particles into gang members, whereas, I’m using the mask from my selfie as their own masks for their gang. I also felt that the holes in the mask helped detail an aspect of how the gang spread the virus around. In this case, I wanted to detail that COVID-19 was the one that we all wanted to capture and lock away so that no one would have to worry about them anymore. The reward for the capturing of the COVID gang was a vaccine that would cure it and provide treatment for those exposed to it.
Details listed on the sides of the poster show information about the death tolls and symptoms of the virus. At the bottom of the “Wanted” poster, there are a few H1N1 particles down below, signifying the cure for the 1918 pandemic virus, detailing that there was a vaccine created to fight against it as well as help bring about a decrease in infections/infectivity or “Captured."
