Why the honoree chose the book

Deeply focusing on a cognitively demanding task is very difficult to do in our current world of constant emails, text messages, chats, notifications, and a myriad of other distractions. This book offers actionable advice that I have found quite beneficial. I consistently recommend it to my students.
