Abstract
John A. Elbert, former President of the University of Dayton and presently Dean of its Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, wields a ready and reflective pen. These observations on existentialist philosophy were first offered in discourse form during the 1963 "Intellectual Frontiers" lecture series.
