Abstract
It is with pleasure that the Review makes an exception to its policy of not publishing creative work. These four sonnets in the traditional mode have been composed by Victor Jacobs, a generous and longtime supporter of the academic life of this university, and they speak in such a heartfelt and universal manner to the grief over the loss of his beloved wife, Irene Murr Jacobs, that they warrant a broader readership within the academic community.
