Abstract
The UDR has long been a major source of Böll criticism. Special issues on Heinrich Böll have appeared in Fall 1973 (Vol. 1, No. 2). Winter 1974 (Vol. 2, No. 2), Spring 1976 (Vol. 12, No. 2), Winter 1976 (Vol. 13, No. 1), and Summer 1985 (Vol. 17, No. 2). This current issue is the sixth special issue on Böll since he received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1972.
