Abstract
Joseph Taylor Skerrett Jr. is a member of the English faculty at Trenton Junior College, Trenton, New Jersey. He is a graduate of St. Francis College in New York and received his M.A. degree from Johns Hopkins University. A series of his short stories have appeared in The Sillion; included in these are "Crysalis," "A Distance Between," and "Before Going Away." Short stories written while Mr. Skerrett was at Johns Hopkins are currently being considered by several journals for publication. He was a ward ed the Scholarship of Graduate Study at Rutgers University, 1964, and the John F. Kennedy Award for Graduate Study, 1964. He was a Gilman Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. He is currently engaged in research on "The Development of Religious Aspects of the Epic Novel in America."
