Footnote for article: This paper will be published by The Personalist under the title "Mead's Theory of the Act and Perception: Some Empirical Confirmations" in mid-1973. The editorial policy of The Personalist does not permit duplicate publication. For this reason, only an abstract of the paper read at the colloquim is included here to indicate the general orientation and direction of the paper and its contribution to the relation between meaning and action, the theme of the colloquium. A brief bibliography of articles and books on this theme from the pragmatist's point of view is also included.
