Abstract
- Tariq Banuri is a lecturer in economics and city and metropolitan planning at the University of Utah. He was a member of the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
- Richard Hiskes is a professor of political science at Grand Valley State University. His research addresses political theory, especially environmental theory and the theory of human rights. His book The Human Right to a Green Future: Environmental Rights and Intergenerational Justice (Cambridge, 2009) received the Best Book in Human Rights Scholarship award from the American Political Science Association.
- Jacqui Patterson is director of the NAACP's Environmental and Climate Justice Program. Her expertise is in women’s rights and human rights, addressing HIV and AIDS; violence against women; maternal and child health; public health; the intersection of race, class, gender, and climate; and the impact of climate change on communities of color and women of color.
