A holistic approach to development strongly emphasizes local communities' active involvement in decision-making, planning, and implementation processes. This approach is grounded in the belief that communities are best positioned to identify and address their own needs. It recognizes that sustainable development can only be achieved when communities are empowered to take the lead in shaping their own progress.
This roundtable offers an interactive platform for experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to explore aspects of community-engaged approaches to development. The discussion will be focused on exploring the benefits, challenges, and opportunities of community engagement, as well as proven strategies for engaging communities and facilitating their integral role in development initiatives.
