Before joining the University of Dayton School of Law, faculty members were judicial clerks, public defenders, litigators, and practicing attorneys in private firms, corporations and government agencies; some spent time working outside the legal profession in diverse fields such as the entertainment industry, nursing and the U.S. military.
Faculty research spans a broad spectrum of expertise, including international law, cyber law, intellectual property, entertainment law, public health, real estate, civil rights, disability law, criminal law, women's rights, law and technology, education law, state sovereignty, family law, business law, energy law, and native peoples.
