Philosophy of Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice

Who Can Submit?
Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice provided they own the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).
General Submission Rules
Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that they will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice. Article Types
Articles of interest to practicing rehabilitation professionals with expertise or interest in oncology, lymphedema, or immune system disorders are acceptable. Articles must align with the mission and scope of Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice. Articles may include research reports, literature reviews, case reports or case series, clinical perspectives or unique viewpoints (clinical conversions), short summaries of recent or seminal research (research roundups), product or technology reviews, or book reviews.
Please contact the editors if you would like to ask whether an article in preparation may be good fit for Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice.Research Reports
Research reports may include clinical trials (randomized and non-randomized; experimental and quasi-experimental), observational and prognostic studies, diagnostic studies, and measurement-focused studies.
Literature Reviews
Literature reviews may include narrative reviews, scoping reviews, systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Other types of literature reviews may be considered. Please contact the editors with questions.
Clinical Conversations
Clinical Conversations provide a perspective that expounds on topics such as a specific clinical approach related to persons affected by cancer, lymphatic diseases, or immune system disorders (on either a theoretical or practical basis) or address professional issues in rehabilitation and health care. Clinical Conversations are not classic literature reviews. Clinical Conversations often contain new ideas, interpretations, and opinions and are intended to inform and advance rehabilitation science, practice, and education in important ways.
Research Roundups
Research Roundups provide a short summary of recent research or seminal research related to oncology, lymphatic diseases, or immune system disorders. Topics must be relevant to rehabilitation or clinical practice. Research Roundups should critically appraise the research and discuss clinical implications (clinical “bottomline”).
Product or Technology Reviews
Product or Technology Reviews provide an appraisal of devices, equipment, software, websites, or apps that may assist with maximizing movement and wellness for persons affected by cancer and other health conditions.
Book Reviews
Book Reviews provide an appraisal of books related to oncology, lymphatic diseases, or immune system disorders that will assist rehabilitation professionals in selecting clinical practice resources or for their own professional development.
Letters to the Editor
Letters to the Editor provide reader perspectives on articles published in (title of publication) and should be submitted within 6 months of the article's publication. Authors of the articles being discussed may be alerted and encouraged to respond.
Article Review Process
Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice does not use a blinded peer review process. Reviews are completed by the Editorial Board or reviewers with expertise related to the manuscript topic.
In accordance with the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), in the case of any manuscript submitted by a member of the editorial board, that member will be recused from the review process.

Open Access and Copyright
Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice is an open access publication with no submission or publication fees. Open access articles are freely available to read, download and share from the time of publication under the terms of the Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommerical No Derivative (CC BY-NC-ND) license. This license does not permit reuse for any commercial purposes nor does it cover the reuse or modification of individual elements of the work (such as figures, tables, etc.) in the creation of derivative works without specific permission.
In consideration of publication, authors must grant and assign to the publisher or its successors all copyright in and to the article.

General Terms and Conditions of Use
Users of the website and/or software agree not to misuse the service or software in any way.
The failure of publisher to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between publisher and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.
