Writing Process

This paper concerns Plato's The Republic and Glaucon's conversations with Socrates within it. These involve the concepts of justice and injustice, and Glaucon arguing that justice and injustice are two sides of the same coin, and that in the end, the just will commit injustice when push comes to shove. I first covered a brief overview of Plato and The Republic, his life, and the characters within it, along with explaining Glaucon's viewpoint. Afterwards I chose to explain the definition of various words and phrases used by Glaucon in the course of their debate, and a summary of the debate itself. Then, I explained the thought experiment employed throughout the process of this debate, and finally I weighed in my own opinion on whether injustice and justice are truly one and the same, choosing to argue against Glaucon's view.
