Writing Process
The writing process for this project required a lot of creative thinking and research, as I aimed to create a detailed and unique addition to the conversation surrounding gendered parental roles. I started by thinking of my own personal experiences with the issue, which served as a spark for the direction I chose to take my paper. I then went on to sort through prior research on the subject, choosing sources that best aligned with my vision for the project. To take the project a step further, I then conducted and inserted my own research, which involved a personal interview with two current parents. My goal throughout this process has been to develop a well-supported argument that challenges the idea of gendered parental roles and to contribute to an ongoing conversation among other researchers.
